Big Blitz
HERO Project
MAKE A DIFFERENCE OVER 18 HOLES!
LEARN HOW TO PARTICIPATE!

Purpose

Give The Big Blitz Event a chance to showcase how this technology-driven opportunity is transforming the golf community by supporting meaningful causes and making a difference!

Process

The Blitz Event Manager allocates:

  • 50% of the entry fee to the winners,
  • 35% to the selected cause,
  • 15% for handling financial transactions, managed by Stripe.

Format

The Big Blitz format is unique but inspired by a familiar competition model. It follows a system similar to the Oldsmobile Scramble, a famous amateur golf event founded by Dick Garn from General Motors in the 1980s, which continued until 2001. Even today, many golf courses replicate this format due to its popularity. Learn more about the Oldsmobile Scramble.

Beta Testers Involvement

The Big Blitz event manager will run simulations on our website to help you understand:

  • How teams are formed using a proprietary system that is based on a players position (Rank) after the sort of players based on their Big Blitz handicaps.
  • How prizes can be won using a system of payout ratios, 'one winner per 10 participants, or winner take all or one winner for every 40 participants etc'
  • How the unique Player Performance Measurement (PPM) scores are used across different events as players are moved between teams.
  • How the tournament works, regardless of which course you play on or the difficulty of a course.
  • How the USGA course rating is used in the calculation of the Big Blitz handicap.
  • How the unique Big Blitz HANDICAPS are calculated, allowing high-handicap players to compete with top golfers. PPM and BIG BLITZ HDCP explained.

As we grow, expect some shutdown days as we rebuild the design and user experience as well as update capabilities of data architecture as we increase number of participants in The Big Blitz Events.
